The joint roadshow of Ponant Explorations and Beachcomber Tours, relaunched on October 18 in France, puts French Polynesia at the center of the travel agencies' agenda. Beachcomber Tours hits the road again this week with Ponant and Air Tahiti Nui, in a fourth edition that confirms the sector's commitment to long-haul travel.
Alongside this duo, Les Maisons du Voyage is celebrating its 35th anniversary and unveiling its roadmap for 2026-2027, while FRAM and Kuoni take a position on long-haul offerings and the pressures weighing on the market. Club Med, for its part, defends its move upmarket and its circuits, while TUI and Top of Travel fuel debates over distribution and sales methods. Voyamar and Heliades complete the picture, confirming the vitality of a network of tour operators that is reinventing itself.
The French travel sector is thus focusing on two priorities: distant destinations driven by airline partnerships, and a distribution landscape undergoing a major restructuring. Tour operators that can combine product expertise with commercial strength will come out ahead.
